Investigation into 'potential of glaze', research into how crystalline glazes interact with linear horizontal surfaces. 

The possibilities for crystalline glaze offer more than most glaze, their ability to create both micro and macro crystal structures, allow for colour and light to be manipulated in a different way. Crystalline glaze are generally placed on round, bulbous forms, designed and create specifically for both the aesthetics of the crystalline and for the intention to allow the glaze run freely during firing. However when placed on a tile on the properties exhibited after the glaze has been fired can be investigated with more planar notions in mind.
